Eye Exams

Each eye examination is scheduled with ample time to allow Dr. Hyman to complete a comprehensive evaluation of both your vision and eye health. At the conclusion of your exam, Dr. Hyman will explain his findings and answer any questions you may have regarding your examination.

Vision Correction

Our comprehensive eye examinations include testing to determine if your vision needs correction for myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, and presbyopia (near blur after age 40). Dr. Hyman will explain your refractive condition and may offer a wide range of choices for visual correction including eyeglasses, contact lenses, or laser vision correction.

Eye Disease

Every examination also includes an evaluation for eye diseases including but not limited to: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. If any eye disease is noted, we offer a full array of advanced diagnostic testing to determine if treatment is needed. Dr. Hyman is licensed and certified to treat most eye diseases. If your case requires surgical care, we will coordinate your care with an outstanding network of local ophthalmologists in Berks County.

Dr. Sean Hyman

Dr. Hyman, the founder of Elite Eyecare, has been providing the residents of Berks County with exceptional eye care for over 26 years including 18 years at our current location on Morgantown Road in Reading. He feels that providing eye care services in a smaller, more intimate setting allows for more doctor/patient interaction and bucks the current trend of impersonal medical care.
